Things Your RTO Can Do to Stay Up-to-Date with the Latest MSM Training Package Update

To keep pace with the recent changes to the MSM training package update, RTOs (Registered Training Organisations) need to take several proactive steps to maintain compliance and ensure students receive the latest, most relevant education. Here are some key actions to consider for training updates:

Update your qualifications and units of competency offerings to align with the latest MSM training package update, version 8.0.

Stay vigilant during the 12-month transition period, ensuring that all learners are using the correct RTO resources that are up-to-date with the latest updates to training packages in Australia.

Ensure that any students enrolled in discontinued units or qualifications complete their training within the designated timeframe.

Submit a request to include new and dissimilar qualifications and units of competency in your RTO’s range of offerings, to offer a broader and more diverse curriculum to your students.

Regularly review and update your training materials, assessments, and resources to ensure they reflect the latest industry standards and practices.

Provide additional support to students and staff during the transition period to help them understand and adjust to the changes in the training packages.

Foster close relationships with industry stakeholders and other RTOs to stay informed of any updates or developments in the MSM sector and to collaborate on best practices and solutions.
